چکیده

The stochastic resonance (SR) in a bistable system driven by nonlinear frequency modulation (NLFM) signal and strong noise is studied. Combined with empirical mode decomposition (EMD) piecewise idea, an adaptive re-scaled SR method based on the optimal intrinsic function (IMF), proposed to enhance weak NLFM signal. At first, considering advantages of EMD for dealing non-stationary signals, segmented processed EMD. Meanwhile, cross-correlation coefficient used as measure select IMF that contains feature. Then, spectral amplification gain indicator realize each sub-segment reconstruct enhanced Finally, effectiveness highlighted analysis short-time Fourier transform spectrum simulation results. As application example, verified adaptability bearing fault diagnosis under speed-varying condition represents typical complicated mechanical engineering. research provides new way enhancement signals. Stochastic resonance in bistable systems driven by harmonic noise.

We study stochastic resonance in a bistable system which is excited simultaneously by white and harmonic noise which we understand as the signal. In our case the spectral line of the signal has a nite width as it occurs in many real situations. Using techniques of cumulant analysis as well as computer simulations we nd that the eeect of stochastic resonance is preserved in the case of harmonic ...

Activity Driven Adaptive Stochastic Resonance

Cortical neurons in vivo show fluctuations in their membrane potential of the order of several milli-volts. Using simple and biophysically realistic models of a single neuron we demonstrate that noise induced fluctuations can be used to adaptively optimize the sensitivity of the neuron's output to ensembles of subthreshold inputs of different average strengths. Optimal information transfer is a...

Residual aperiodic stochastic resonance in a bistable dynamic system transmitting a suprathreshold binary signal.

Conventional stochastic resonance can be viewed as an amplitude effect, in which a small (subthreshold) input signal receives assistance from noise to trigger a stronger response from a nonlinear system. We demonstrate another mechanism of improvement by the noise, which is more of a temporal effect. An intrinsically slow system has difficulty to respond to a fast (suprathreshold) input, and th...

Stochastic resonance in a locally excited system of bistable oscillators

Stochastic resonance is studied in a one-dimensional array of overdamped bistable oscillators in the presence of a local subthreshold periodic perturbation. The system can be treated as an ensemble of pseudospins tending to align parallel which are driven dynamically by an external periodic magnetic field. The oscillators are subjected to a dynamic white noise as well as to a static topological...

Stochastic Resonance Phenomenon of Two-coupled Duffing Oscillator and its Application on Weak Signal Detection

By taking two-coupled duffing oscillator system as the research object, the study found under the synergistic effect of weak periodic signal and noise, the two-coupled duffing oscillator system has typical stochastic resonance and even could achieve better output of stochastic resonance than single duffing oscillator. Based on this phenomenon, this paper proposes a new method to detect the weak...
